Reduce Sugar with ErySweet+
ErySweet+ is a powdered blend of erythritol and stevia extract. This natural sweetening solution brings together optimal levels of proprietary steviol glycosides and erythritol—a sugar alcohol derived by microbial fermentation.
The combination of erythritol and stevia provides a multitude of benefits for formulators. Stevia is a high intensity sweetener, with about 150 to 250 times the sweetness of sucrose. When formulating, extremely low percentages of these proprietary steviol glycosides are required, and because of stevia’s intense sweetening power, its use must be carefully controlled. When paired with this type of high intensity sweetener, erythritol provides a neutral flavor profile that can be used as a plug-and-play replacement for sugar. At the standard mesh size, the appearance of ErySweet+ is white and crystalline.
However, ErySweet+ is also available in an Ultra Mesh and Supreme Mesh—a fine powder closely resembling 10X confectioners’ sugar. Exceptionally pH stable, ErySweet+ works well in jams, jellies, and fillings. At finer mesh sizes, it can also be used to formulate smooth, nongranular, reduced-calorie icings, fondants, cream fillings, meal replacement bars, drink mixes, sauces, and dressings. ErySweet+ is non-GMO, kosher, and is available in both conventional and organic certified versions. Because our ErySweet+ is derived without the use of chemicals, it can be used to support a clean label claim.
